Lawro Predicts - Everton v Latics

Mark 'Lawro' Lawrenson has done his weekly round of Premier League predictions for the BBC, the Match of the Day pundit is forecasting that Saturdays clash between Everton and Wigan Athletic will end in a home win for the Toffee's, let's take a look at his reasons:

Everton v Wigan

Wigan are not great on the road and they have not had a fantastic week, getting thumped by Manchester City then being beaten in the Carling Cup by Crystal Palace.

Everton might be licking their wounds a bit too, because they played really well against Aston Villa and should have won that game rather than just having to settle for a point.

One of the big pluses for me from that game was seeing their new signing Royston Drenthe for the first time. He is lightning quick and, if he can stay fit, looks like he could be another find by Toffees boss David Moyes.

Prediction: 2-0

1-1, Everton are no great shakes and we are much better than Chorley's finest is prepared to give us credit for.

Yep 1-1 for me, if anyone was going to win I'd fancy us tbh

it really depends on who plays in the back, lopez is extremely questionable right now. 2-1 everton unless we clean up the mistakes
