Lawro Predicts - Latics v Spurs

Lawro Predicts - Latics v Spurs

Mark 'Lawro' Lawrenson has done his weekly round of Premier League predictions for the BBC, the Match of the Day pundit is forecasting that Saturdays clash between Wigan Athletic and Tottenham Hotspur at the DW Stadium will end in an away win for Spurs, let's take a look at the reasons why he says that:

Wigan v Spurs

Spurs have got the bit between the teeth - their midfield of Bale-Modric-Parker-Krancjar was outstanding against Liverpool.

That's a big problem for Wigan. The way Spurs moved the ball at times was breathtaking - and the Wigan pitch is still good, something else Tottenham will like.

Prediction: 0-2

Fascinating insight into the Latics there Lawro, I'm going for a 1-1 draw because we have been hit by an injury epidemic, otherwise I'd have said home win

Our 'other' midfield is pretty good. However, our 1st midfield is world-class, as is Ade, hence 2-0 to Spurs ;)

We Spurs fans have no right to be cocky after you guys totally put the 9-1 behind you and we failed to score against you last season. You guys need to pack midfield to stop us I think. We are still weakened too, so you guys have a chance.

I have never been a fan of Lawro's thinking. However, you can't blame him for predicting a spurs win considering the class Spurs will put on the pitch. Spurs should win.
