'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Nouha Dicko Settling In At Wigan Athletic

Wigan Athletic striker Nouha Dicko scored both goals on Monday as the reserves drew 2-2 with their Wolves counterparts. The young Frenchman is developing well in his short time at the Latics since joining in the summer from RSC Strasbourg, he's already featured for the first team in the Carling Cup tie at Crystal Palace earlier this month.

Against Wolves on Monday Dicko scored the goals, but according to the match report on the Latics official site, he also had an excellent game

Following the Wolves match Dicko spoke to Latics Player, he said: 'I have mixed feelings after the Wolves game; I'm glad to have scored my first goals for the club, but we're disappointed we could not win the game, especially as we had the extra man for large periods.

'Football can be like this sometimes though and I hope we will not make the same mistakes in the future.'

'The Crystal Palace game was a big moment for me, unfortunately we didn't win on the night but hopefully the Manager saw something good in me and will get more chances to play for the First Team in the future.

'It's what I'm here for, to play for Wigan Athletic in the Premier League. I know to do that I have a lot of hard work still to do but I'm enjoying life here and I'm confident I can carry on improving.

'I prefer to play as a striker but I'm also comfortable playing on the wing, and I think it will be good for me to be able to play in both positions for the team.

'All the players have been very welcoming with me and made it easy to settle in, so I feel as though I'm playing well with them.'
