Martinez Wary Of N'Zogbia Finding His Feet

Former Wigan Athletic player Charles N'Zogbia has got Roberto Martinez praying that he doesn't find his feet at his new club this weekend. The Latics travel to Villa Park on Saturday and are set to face Charlie for the first time this season

Since joining Aston Villa during the summer N'Zogbia hasn't been in top form, now whether that's got anything to do with how he is being played or if he just hasn't settled in at his new club yet is open to debate, what isn't is that Charlie is a top, top player who can be a match winner against anyone.

At Wigan we saw how good the little Frenchman is, we saw it regularly during his time with us, some fantastic performances that you could say he won matches single-handed for the Latics, he maybe only small in size but he's a big player and sooner or later he will find his feet and reproduce the form he showed at the DW down at Villa Park.

His former boss Roberto Martinez is wary about facing his old talisman on Saturday and hopes that it doesn't all click into place this weekend, speaking to the Wigan Evening Post Martinez said: "You don't score nearly 20 goals in two seasons without having great talent, and Charlie has it all"

"He's got pace, power, skill, dribbling ability - he is a real old-fashioned winger who loves getting into one-against-one situations.

"Sometimes it's about finding time to find the right partnerships, and sometimes that just takes time.

"But he'll be a success at Villa - I've got no doubts about that. I just hope he doesn`t start on Saturday."

At least we know what he can do, all our players will have had real good look at him over the course of many training sessions and can hopefully shut him out along with his new team mates.

He has been awful for Villa so far..Without doubt our worst player..Seems one paced...I know we have been spoilt with Ashley Young but Charlie has been a massive disappointment...so far!!!...We know he has class and can be quality.just waiting to see it...from a Villa perspective hopefully on saturday against our bogey team at Villa Park

Maybe if Villa played him in the advanced right hand side and not a second left back and played it to his feet and made space for him he will kill defenses, Wigan and Martinez knew how to get the best out of him and if Mcliesh is such a brilliant manager like he says while buy a player he apparently rates and plays hoof ball?

McLeish plays the total wrong style of football to get the best out of N'Zogbia. He's the wrong manager for a team with skilful pacey players like Villa have. If you have a system whereby your getting Charlie 1 on 1 against the full back and cutting on his left foot. You'll be on to a winner. Keep playing boring hoofball, and you'll keep drawing all year. Villa are without doubt the most boring team in the premier league at the moment. And its not a surprise that Birmingham were last year.

Villa definitely do not play hoof ball...we pass the ball to death in areas that dont matter....get everyone behind the ball...agree boring at present...but definitely not hoofballl...that would be far more exciting...Time will tell whether McLeish can get us more adventorous and exciting going forward...we have the players ..BUT..if we do get balance right...BEWARE
