Franco Di Santo - Player Of The Month - September

Franco Di Santo has been voted the Wigan Athletic player of the month for September by pollsters on Vital Latics.

The young Argentine striker has shown some excellent early season form and he's banged home three goals, albeit just the one in September. If Di Santo can carry on in his current mode for the next few months then not only will he enjoy a great season, but the team will have found a new striker to fire them to yet another Premier League campaign.

For the record the voting was:

Franco Di Santo - 47%
Patrick van Aanholt - 22%
Ali Al-Habsi 11%
