Rob's Prediction: Wigan V Bolton

Wigan and Bolton both had horrifying months - Bolton have lost 11 of 12 fixtures. Their only win was an impressive 4-0 win over Queens Park Rangers, but they've been shipping goals for fun, especially after their 6-0 drubbing by Fulham.

The Latics have lost five games, including their dismal loss to Crystal Palace in the Carling Cup. Defeats to Manchester City, Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa have not even raised a smile for the Latics supporters whilst for the Trotters its even worse - 1 win in 12 has set alarm bells ringing.

Owen Coyle and Roberto Martinez both know that this is a real must win game to kick start their fragile seasons. Bolton have a terrible track record in which goals have been conceded. However, Wigan are not great at scoring goals either which may mean it might be a slightly easier afternoon for them, but if Wigan can find some form, it might be the same headache for Owen Coyle.

Wigan will want to get the three points and will see this game as something of a springboard into what could be a bit more promising, especially when players return from their injuries. Rodallega, Alcaraz and Crusat are coming along well. Indeed, Albert could be available for today's game against Bolton.

Games against Bolton in recent times have been uninspiring. Indeed, Wigan have not beaten the Trotters very often on home soil. Just two wins in six, followed by a win for Bolton and three successive draws means that this could be a game where the honours finish even and I think that they will.

ROB'S PREDICTION
================

A difficult game to call, especially with Bolton's leaky defence and Wigan's ability to score goals a problem. I see a draw in which each team will score 1 goal each.

Wigan 1 Bolton 1

ROB'S OTHER PREDICTIONS
=======================

Liverpool V Man Utd - There's not a lot in this but I think that Liverpool will shade it.
Liverpool 1 Man Utd 0

Man City V Aston Villa - Man City are an unstoppable machine at the moment. Villa are a good side but they're not going to get a result at the Etihad.
Man City 2 Aston Villa 0

Norwich V Swansea - This is a massive game and I think that Norwich have been decisively suspect at home despite a recent win over Sunderland. I think this game shall see an important away win for the Swans.
Norwich 0 Swansea 1

QPR V Blackburn Rovers - Blackburn are a suspect side despite 1 or 2 decent results of late. However, QPR can't be brimming with confidence after their 6-0 defeat at the hands of Fulham. Difficult to call but I'll say a goalless draw.
QPR 0 Blackburn Rovers 0

Stoke V Fulham - Fulham won on this ground last time round but I don't see history repeating itself. This is a tough one to call as well as Fulham can be quite dogged away from home. I'm going to go for a goalless draw here too.
Stoke 0 Fulham 0

Chelsea V Everton - Everton have proven to be a thorn in Chelsea's side in recent seasons. Therefore, I suspect a draw may be on the cards here too.
Chelsea 1 Everton 1

West Brom V Wolves - This is a massive game as both sides have had indifferent seasons. I think West Brom may just nick this.
West Brom 1 Wolves 0

Arsenal V Sunderland - Arsenal will be too strong for Sunderland and I think they'll run out comfortable winners.
Arsenal 3 Sunderland 0

Newcastle V Tottenham - This is difficult to call. Tottenham are on a roll but Newcastle are no pushovers. I'm going to go for a draw.
Newcastle 1 Tottenham 1

ROB'S FINAL THOUGHTS
====================

Wins for Wigan and Huddersfield to complete the perfect Saturday. Come on!
