Emma Needs Our Help
Little Emma Hoolin was guest of honour at the DW Stadium on Saturday when the Latics took on local rivals Bolton Wanderers, her plight is well known to the Latics fraternity, Emma is battling against Neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer, her family and friends are rallying round to raise money so that Emma can have life saving treatment in the US.
On Saturday Emma received a standing ovation when she came onto the pitch at half-time and hopefully the team of collectors with their bright pink buckets managed to get a few quid to go towards the cost of her treatment.
For the return game against Bolton the on 11th February I am walking from the DW Stadium to the Reebok Stadium in order to raise some funds to help little Emma get her treatment, so far there are over 100 people who have said they will join me on this walk, are you also willing to come along?
It's six miles from ground to ground, I plan to do the walk in 3 hours, so it will be more like a stroll, there will also be a refreshment break built in at a suitable hostelry on route, if you wish to join us please do so, but please make sure you get some walking training in first, because I aint carrying anyone!
