Little Albert Ready For Big Impact

Summer signing Albert Crusat got his first start for the Latics following his £2 million move from Spanish club Almeria in the defeat at St. James' Park to Newcastle on Saturday, the diminutive winger showed enough in flashes that he could go on to be a good addition to the squad and make a big impact this season.

With pace to burn, Crusat is a good weapon to have, especially when hitting teams on the counter attack, the 29 year old played 80 minutes of yesterdays game and he looked threatening every time he got on the ball. Latics boss Roberto Martinez chased Crusat for the past two seasons and now he's finally got his man he appears to be pleased with his contributions

Speaking to the clubs official website Martinez said: 'He is a real threat on the counter-attack and can be explosive'

'He creates problems and his understanding of the game is fantastic.

'I hope we will see more of that in the next few months. He is a really good addition to the squad.'
