Latics Players In Search Of Ghouls

Wigan Athletic players put their 'horror show' start to the season behind them this week as they went in search of ghouls, rather than goals, at the annual Team Latics Halloween Party at the DW Stadium.

The James' McArthur and McCarthy along with Conor Sammon and Shaun Maloney were guests of honour as the Team Latics members got up to all sorts of trickery in the Marquee Suite, with hundreds of youngsters packed in Latics mascots Phoenix and Blue led the games and fun, a great ghoulish time was had by all.

James McCarthy said: "It's fantastic to meet all the young supporters, they obviously love the club and they are the future. If the players can come and help at these events, then that's brilliant.'

Conor Sammon said: "I had to stop the James' putting on the Halloween costumes, they were getting so carried away." McArthur took objection to this, however: "I think you'll find that was Connor."
