Ronnie Stam - Latics Man Of The Match v Blackburn

Vital Latics members have voted Ronnie Stam the Wigan Athletic man of the match for his performance in Saturday's 3-3 draw against Blackburn at the DW Stadium.

The flying Dutchman made a rare start but wasted no time in making an impact in the game, following a great run and cross by Stam on seven minutes down the Latics right, Jordi Gomez fired home to level the scores at 1-1.

Stam continued to give the Latics an excellent option down the right and his performance as a wingback was very good.

For the record the voting was:

Ronnie Stam - 41%
Momo Diame - 25%
Jordi Gomez - 18%

The new poll is now available on the right side of this page, to participate in the vote simply access the poll, select your preferred option and then hit the submit button, it's that easy

thorpyness
boyce centre back maybe? the thing is it wouldn't surprise me if stam is dropped again for the next match!
legolad
hope he`s done enough for a first team start and keeps it up outstanding player allwys has in my opinion
wigantrev
We all know Stams Class and I think we should play the same setup at Sunderland with Figueroa wing back and maybe one of the midfielders dropped for Boyce. Where he can slot in with Gohouri and Caldwell. (Personally thought Gohouri had a decent game too)
