Wigan Athletic BIG FLAG Campaign

Wigan Athletic BIG FLAG Campaign

The BIG flag campaigns final collection is hitting the DW this weekend. Fans are gunning too get the funds raised and get the flag manufactured for the televised home fixture against Liverpool.

The Latics fans have shown a massive backing to the flag campaign, with over 900 supporters voicing their support.

Sara Richards a ‎Latic Fanatic is real excited about the prospect of bringing the flag to the DW, she said: 'As it's coming up to Christmas the greatest gift you can give your Latics is your support. What better way to do that than with the BIG flag? Just 50p from each fan can make that happen!'

John Brooks: 'after December the league gets harder and starts falling into place, the players will need the support more than ever no better way than a big flag they can see throughout the whole game to remind them of the support for just 50 p per fan we can make this happen'

Sam Bennett "at Christmas time, remember to buy your only true love a present, Wigan Athletic. Your girlfriend/boyfriend may not be forever but your football club will. Do we want to go to next Christmas play Huddersfield at home & Mk Dons away? I highly doubt it; a minimum of 50p per fan could make all the difference in our battle to stay in the premier league"

The team behind the BIG flag are urging fans to get behind the campaign, 'The club supporters are constantly criticised by the Media and opposing fans, this flag will send a message to those who constantly write us off, that we are united and when put to a task we can collectively achieve it, the supporters have been a real credit to the team this season, through thick and thin they have stood by the lads, they`ve stood by the management and the club, the flag would be a real icing on the cake and would fill the DW with a real sense of pride, and there`s no better date than to launch it on the Sky Sports televised fixture (21st December).`

The team have worked hard to allow everybody too donate, currently you can donate on Saturday at the DW, in the Latics Shop located in the galleries and finally online at www.off-the-post.net/thebigflag. If you want to help supporter the team and can help collect donations this Saturday, you can email the team at marketing@off-the-post.net
