Vote For Your Latics Man Of The Match v Arsenal

The Latics were quite disappointing in the 4-0 home defeat to Arsenal on Saturday, once they fell behind in the 28th minute there was no coming back and the fight seemed to suck out of the team, they gave the Gunners too much room and got punished.

Although the team on the whole were quite poor, there were some good individual performances. Ronnie Stam continued where he left off against Sunderland with an energetic performance, he made some good runs down the Latics right and he provided a good attacking option, he put in some great crosses, unfortunately no one got on the end of any of them.

Conor Sammon ran his socks off, he put the effort in but struggled by being too exposed, neither Gomez nor Moses got close enough to the big Irishman to help him out.

My man of the match was Dave Jones, I thought he had a decent game playing left defensive midfielder come left back. He dealt with Theo Walcott for most of the game and also provided an outlet when going forward

So Dave Jones for me, if you wish to vote for your choice of Latics man of the match simply access the poll on the right side of this page, select your preferred option and then hit the submit button, its that easy

Jones for me, Stam close second, then Diame, Ali, apart from one save, was poor IMO, he should have kept the first goal out

Wigan 1-2 Bradford Match Report

Latics dropped to a deserved 1-2 defeat at the hands of Bradford, our first loss at home in the league since March. It was an off-day, defence looked shaky from the off and once Nick Powell went off injured, we never really threatened to score. We are back at the DW on Tuesday against Doncaster Rovers, an opportunity to get back on track.

Paul Cook named an unchanged side from our last league game, with Michael Jacobs returning to the starting line-up.
