Latics Fans Want Squad Strengthening

Latics Fans Want Squad Strengthening

The latest poll on Vital Wigan asked the supporters which area of the team needed strengthening in the January transfer window, of the four options available a whopping 55% of those who took part, opted for all over the team.

With the club currently languishing at the foot of the Premier League it doesn't take rocket science to work out that we need some additions to the squad if we are to have any chance of pulling out of our current predicament, three weeks until the window opens, then let business begin.

For the record the voting was:

All over - 55%
At the back - 27%
Up Front - 15%
Midfield - 3%

The new poll is now available for you to participate in, simply access the poll on the right side of this page, select your preferred option and then hit the submit button, it's that easy

Whelan needs to actually give us money to spend, it is ridiculous, we are down though under Bobby, can we just sign a top quality centre back and loan a young winger and get a striker who can score goals, Bobby needs to stop relying on players, Bobby's misjudged alot of players and thats why we are bottom and will stay there imo, hope i am wrong.

Worbo, at the risk of sounding like a 'repetitive sound track' - any updates on PvA? Surely he could do better than the current back 4 .. maybe even play him up front on the LW... the kid is pretty decent going forward - is he not?

The latest word was that we were considering sending him back, apparently there has been 'issues'? He played for the reserves on Wednesday against Liverpool...I liked the look of him tbh, deserved a place on the bench at least if not in the starting line up

That is sad news. I had great hopes for the kid and thought this could be a turn-around season for him. Thanks for the update Worbo.
