Latics Looking To Forest Captain Chambers

With the transfer window about to open in just over over two weeks the rumours are starting to build, this from the Mail:

Wigan Athletic are being linked with a move for Nottingham Forest centre back Luke Chambers in the January transfer window.

The 26 year old has been at the City Ground since 2007 when he was signed from Northampton Town for an undisclosed fee. Chambers was made the club captain at the start of this season and he was named the Nottingham Forest player of the season for 2010/11.

Chambers is out of contract in the summer and is apparently refusing to renew, Forest could be willing to sell rather than lose him for nothing in the summer. West Brom are also reportedly interested.
