Dave Whelan Thrilled With Latics Supporters

Wigan Athletic owner Dave Whelan was full of praise for the Latics fans that travelled down to the Hawthorns on Saturday and cheered the lads on to a great away win against West Brom.

The Latics chairman was delighted with the support and he said that the players also thought the fans were fantastic, Whelan says with a good backing then anything is possible.

Speaking to Latics Player Whelan said: 'We sold out our away allocation and I'd like to say to every fan who made the trip a massive thank you - they gave us great support and the lads really appreciated it'

'I went into the Dressing Room at the end of the game and the players all commented on how fantastic the fans were, and now we want them to turn out again for the next big match against Chelsea because with their support anything is possible."
