'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Jordi Gomes Delighted With His Form

Wigan Athletic attacking midfield man Jordi Gomez is in a rich vein of form at the moment with three goals in his last four games and the former Espanyol man is confident that he can keep his current run going.

Gomez scored the winner on Saturday in Latics 2-1 victory away at West Brom, the 26 year old kept his nerve to calmly stroke home a penalty kick in the 57th minute of a frenetic game.

Speaking to the clubs official site Gomez says that he is enjoying his football and delighted to be back in the starting eleven, he has certainly brought a calm assurance to the side in the games against Blackburn, Sunderland and West Brom.

Speaking on Latics Player Gomez said: 'I try to score in every game I play, I've got confidence that I can do whenever I go on the pitch and whenever the chance comes, be from the penalty spot or not, I'm ready to take it.

'I'm delighted to be back in the team, I'm enjoying my football and know that I have to keep working if it's to remain that way.'
