Player Ratings - Wigan Athletic 1-1 Chelsea

Player Ratings - Wigan Athletic 1-1 Chelsea

Latics took a fantastic point with a late Jordi Gomez goal as Martinez's men came from behind against Chelsea. Good team display, this weeks individual player ratings provided by Vital Wigan member, Jonathan Moffatt, aka J_Mo, over to you Jonathan

Al Habsi - 7
Made a couple of great saves, but I'm sure Ali won't be happy with being beaten from such a tight angle for the Chelsea goal.

Stam - 6
Not as impressive as recent weeks, and has the positional sense of a headless chicken, it seems.

Alcaraz - 8
Did an excellent job keeping Drogba quiet. The defence looks a lot more solid when he is in the side.

Caldwell - 7
Won everything in the air.

Figueroa - 6
Solid game for the most part, but caught napping for the goal.

Jones - 6
Tough game. Sturridge gave him a torrid time.

Diame - 7
Worked hard in the middle of the park, as always.

McCarthy - 9
Outstanding game. Got the better of Lampard and dictated things in midfield.

Gomez - 8
Jordi's rich vein of form continues. Great determination to get in the position to score the equaliser.

Moses - 7
No goal this week, but still proved tricky to handle, and caused a few problems for Chelsea.

Sammon - 7
Great link up play, but doesn't even look like scoring unfortunately.

Subs:

Di Santo - 7

Worked hard when he came on. Great pass to set up the equaliser.

Rodallega - 6
A little lucky his weak effort didn't matter after Jordi put the rebound home, but looked like he had a point to prove, at least.

I also though James McCarthy was sensational yesterday

His pass to Di Santo was pretty sick too. It was like a lazer beam teleporting to Di Santo's feet!
