Wigan Athletic - Roman Golobart Stays At Inverness

Wigan Athletic youngster Roman Golobart is having his loan deal with SPL side Inverness Caledonian Thistle extended until the end of the season the Latics have confirmed

The 19 year old defender scored his first senior goal last week as he helped his side defeat Aberdeen 2-1, he has impressed Inverness boss Terry Butcher after a shaky start and this deal can only be of benefit to both Golobart and the Latics

Speaking to the clubs official website Latics boss Roberto Martinez said: 'It's the perfect situation for Roman to continue his development in a competitive league such as the SPL.

'We have and we will continue to monitor his progress carefully and will look forward to welcoming him back in the summer as a much more experienced professional.'
