Wigan Athletic - Van Aanholt Returns To Chelsea

Chelsea defender Patrick van Aanholt has returned to Stamford Bridge cutting short his season long loan deal with the Latics, an official statement issued by the club reads:

Wigan Athletic have confirmed that Holland Under 21 defender Patrick van Aanholt, who was on a season-long loan to the club from Chelsea, has returned to Stamford Bridge.

Both clubs have come to the agreement that it is in theirs' and the players best interests to terminate the loan arrangement with immediate effect.

Van Aanholt started three matches in the Barclays Premier League, the last coming at Aston Villa on October 1. He has not featured in any squads since. He also played at Crystal Palace in the Carling Cup, in September.

He was a bit big headed me thinks and thought he should be starting every game. You've definitely got a talented player on your hands there though. Bet he can't wait for Ashley Cole to call it day!

Yeah, it seems that some of these CFC lads go off to other sides with a bit of a big head and expect to play. Having said that, CFC mgt cant be happy with van 'Alt either...or Wigan. They didnt send him over there to sit the bench either did they?
