James McCarthy Man Of The Match v Man City

James McCarthy has been voted the Latics man of the match for his performance against Manchester City on Monday night.

McCarthy had an excellent game in the centre of the Latics midfield and he was very close to snatching a draw late on, but Joe Hart made a good stop with his feet from McCarthy's low drive.

For the record the result of the poll was:

James McCarthy - 42%
Ali Al-Habsi - 41%
Jordi Gomez - 6%
