Latics Make Bid For Nicky Maynard

Wigan Athletic are believed to have bid 2million for Bristol City striker Nicky Maynard who is out of contract in the summer.

The Sunday People are reporting that the bid, sanctioned by Latics chairman Dave Whelan, is likely to be accepted after Bristol City recently rejected offers from West Brom, Wolves and Swansea for the 25 year old former Crewe player.

Maynard has scored 8 league goals so far this season and is Bristol City`s leading goal scorer, he was an unused substitute in yesterdays win over Doncaster

This better be true because he will do well for us and will be a top striker even if we are relegated!
