Latics Beat Bangor In Stadium Opener



The Wigan Athletic development squad travelled to North Wales today and provided stiff opponents for Welsh Premier League side Bangor City, who were celebrating the opening of their new Nantporth stadium.

The Latics youngsters won the game 2-1, Tim Chow got on the score sheet in the first half to give the visitors the lead on 30 minutes, he ran 30 yards with the ball before slotting home. Bangor equalised two minutes later, Davies heading home from a long throw-in.

The winning goal was scored in the 60th minute when Jonathan Rugg fired home from six yards

Latics had a chance late on when Jeshua Angoy played in Ryan Watson, but the youngsters angled drive came back off the inside of the far post

Final score - Bangor City 1-2 Wigan Athletic

Latics: Nicholls, Buxton, Trialist (Girvin 44), Langley, McCormack, Chow, Watson, Morris (Breeze 85), Rugg, Boothman, Dawson (Angoy 77)

Subs not used: Hare, Robinson

is Tim's father from Hong Kong? Chow is a common surname in Hong Kong here.
