It's not too late to come and join the walk4emma, this Saturday over 500 people will be walking from the DW Stadium in Wigan to the Reebok Stadium at Horwich in support of 5 year old Wigan girl Emma Hoolin, who is suffering from the childhood cancer, neuroblastoma.
This event promises to be an amazing and memorable occasion, it will be colourful, and noisy and will definitely raise awareness of what is a very worthwhile cause.
The support for the Emma Hoolin Appeal so far has been fantastic, let's make one final push and create a day that will live long in the memory
The Trinity Girls Brass Band will be entertaining the walkers outside the West Stand of the DW Stadium from 10am, then at 10:30 it's off through Wigan town centre and up to New Springs Legion for a pie and some soup, then the final leg of the walk through Aspull to the Reebok
If you can't make all the walk then come and join just part of it, your presence will be most welcome, the route we will be taking is:
From the DW Stadium
Walking up Stadium Way past B&Q, then left over Seven Stars Bridge, into Wallgate and up to Wigan Town Centre
Down Standishgate past the Grand Arcade, right at Game into Crompton St, follow the road to Scholes Lights.
Turn left there and carry on up to Cale Lane, New Springs, we will have refreshments at New Springs Ex-Servicemens Club, pies and soup
Then continue after a short break up Wigan Rd to the Finger Post at Aspull.
Right into Bolton Rd and continue into Dicconson Lane, through to the A6, left at the lights on Chorley Rd, right at the roundabout, down to the Reebok!!!
Approx 6.7 miles
Latics mascot Phoenix is coming along, as is Latics CEO Jonathan Jackson, ex-Latics skipper Neil Rimmer and a host of other former players and backroom staff
An excited group of walkers, JJ, Phoenix, Big Baz, Blue and the lovely Julie

Wigan Athletic goalkeeper and fans favourite, Ali Al-Habsi has sent a special message for those who are taking part in the walk4emma on Saturday prior to the Latics game with Bolton.
Ali, who the Latics signed from Bolton on a permanent deal last summer, say's: "Good luck to everyone taking part in the walk from the DW Stadium to the Reebok Stadium on Saturday before our game with Bolton.
"It's a fantastic show of support for a very brave little girl who we're all sending our very best wishes to as always. Good luck everyone, see you at the game!"
