Zaki Was The Man

Zaki Was The Man

Wigan Athletic have been crying out for a goalscoring centre forward for the past three seasons, quite a few Latics fans recall the great form that former striker Amr Zaki first showed when he arrived at the club, all action net bursting displays that had the supporters in raptures.

Since Steve Bruce refused to take up an option to keep the Egypt international at the DW there's always been the thought of what might have been had Zaki played under Martinez.

With the impact that Zaki made at the Latics you'd have expected someone to take a chance on the man nicknamed the 'bulldozer', but he appears to have slipped under the radar, so what's he up now?

Well to the amazement of all here at Vital, Zaki has been found, but not on the football pitches of Cairo, oh no the flamboyant striker, noted for his love of the limelight, is wooing a different kind of audience these days.

Vital Latics scout, to be known only as Don, was out in Sharm El Sheikh recently, checking on the local talent, if you know what I mean, anyway Don came across something that caught his eye, a talented entertainer and an old friend, well take a look below!

He actually looks a bit slimmer
