Calling Latics Fans - We Can Make A Difference

Calling Latics Fans - We Can Make A Difference

Wigan Athletic face West Brom at the DW Stadium next Saturday (17th March), it doesn't take a mathematician to work out that the Latics home form this season is a little disappointing. Now there maybe a number of factors for this, but it is the intention of a section of Latics fans to ensure that playing in front of the home crowd isn't one of them.

Prior to the game it has been suggested that a large group of noisy supporters get themselves down to the DW Stadium for 12:15 and form a welcoming committee for the manager, the chairman and most of all the players

'No matter who the players are, who the manager is or who is the chairman, it's still Wigan Athletic'

The idea behind this is to give the players a massive boost, get them buzzing before the game, give them the same feeling that they had at Blackpool last season and Bolton this. As supporters lets do our bit, these are desperate times, do we want to survive? Well we are in this together, as a club, not just the players, not just the manager, not just the chairman, not just the fans but all together.

If a group of fans can greet the players as they arrive at the ground for the game, chanting their names, letting them know, despite what happens at times on the pitch, we are there to give them our support, then maybe, just maybe there will be a response on the pitch, they will be fired up to put in a top performance

'PNP, just want to say this is a brilliant idea and I really hope we get a good number of supporters up there cheering the lads on.'

The run of games until the end of the season are all cup finals, that's what we keep saying the players should be treating them as, well let us, the fans do the same.

If you are up for this level of support, giving maybe an extra 90 minutes of your time on match day, then please leave your name on the 'who's going to be there thread' and join the discussion about the day here

We can make a difference and it is so easy to do
