Decisions Always Go The Way Of The Big Boys!

Decisions Always Go The Way Of The Big Boys!

I've been left absolutely flat following yesterday's defeat at Chelsea, how the lino got that decision wrong is absolutely mind boggling, Latics boss Roberto Martinez was also left rather inflamed by the decision, or lack of, from assistant referee Dave Bryan. So much so he made one or two comments condemning the performance of the officials as 'disgusting and horrific', this looks set to get the Latics boss into hot water after the powers that be have decided to take a look at what the mild mannered boss said. Rather than fine or lambast Martinez surely the FA should say 'you're darn right Roberto, we need to sort this out', but they won`t

Throughout the season we`ve been undone by dodgy decisions from officials, goals from corners not taken properly, dodgy sending off's, penalty's not awarded to us and the list goes on

Unfortunately though this isn't new, nor is it a trait that just afflicts the Latics, all the so called 'small' clubs appear to suffer miscarriages when it comes to refereeing decisions, just this afternoon (Sunday) we have seen a penalty awarded to Manchester United and QPR defender Shaun Derry sent off for a trip on United winger Ashley Young

Replays clearly show that firstly Young was off-side and secondly Derry never touched Young and it was a blatant dive

Still these decisions even themselves out over the course of a season, don't they?, Like bollox they do. Man United visit the DW on Wednesday, in their wisdom the FA have appointed Phil Dowd in charge of the game, the same Phil Dowd that wrongly sent Conor Sammon off in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford on Boxing Day, the same Phil Dowd that so incensed former Latics manager Paul Jewell with a series of dodgy decisions against us over a two year period that he was apparently 'taken off' Latics games whilst Jewell was still in charge at the DW.

Ah well, I'm sure that Dowd will not be influenced in any way and referee the game fairly, it'll just appear to everyone that Man United are getting all the decisions

Rant justified...it's utterly unbelievable that they are thinking of charging him. He was clearly correct in what he said....mind you it wouldn't be the only time or the only place.
