Blue Wednesday - Wigan Athletic

Big game tonight, no that's wrong, absolutely massive game tonight down at the DW Stadium, Manchester United will swagger in, their fans singing and chanting as they make their way to yet another league title, fourteen times we have met and fourteen times we have lost, well this time we need the result so much more than they do

Just a single point tonight and we are out of the bottom three, a win for us and, well, we'll be up, up and away.

Recently the players and Martinez have all commented on how the supporters have been fantastic, giving their support and backing the team to the full even though we are at the wrong end of the table, the manager says it's inspirational: "For the fans to be there when we all arrive at the stadium, it has an amazing effect on the players."

Tonight for the United game it's been suggested that we fill the home stands with blue, our clubs colour, blue. To do this each Latics fan attending is asked to wear something blue, I know quite a few don't like to wear replica shirts, it doesn't need to be a footie shirt, just something blue, a hat, a coat, a hoodie or even just a blue scarf, turn the home stands into the colour of the team, it may have no effect on the players, it may have a massive effect, it'll be hard to tell, but it will get the fans tuned in for what is a massive game.

If you don't want to then fair enough, why you wouldn't I would never know, but if you can make the small effort then what a fantastic sight it will be. We're in this together

Dont forget Wednesday is Blue Wednesday, wear something blue!

Great result for your lot, and you've done us a huge favour too. Nice to see you finally beat those smug red gits, they'll no longer just turn up at yours and think it's a walk-over. Good luck for the rest of the season, you look like you could just do it.
