Martinez Praises The Latics Support - Again

Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez has once again paid tribute to the Latics fans for their unique and fabulous support

Whilst supporters of other clubs down in the bottom half of the table have been grumbling and protesting for much of the season, the Latics faithful have done their bit to lift the gloom of a relegation fight

There has been demonstrations and sit-ins, confrontations and protests, notably at Blackburn, Wolves and Aston Villa, in contrast down at the DW Stadium and on the road with the Latics, Wigan's merry bunch of supporters have done exactly that, supported their team.

From the 'Meet and Greet's' to the constant chanting at the Emirates, Anfield and Stamford Bridge, Wigan Athletic fans have stood out as an exceptional group of supporters, speaking to the Latics official website Roberto Martinez said: 'Believe me that when you go away from home and see your support, the Latics Family, it makes a huge difference.

'The fans have been influential with all their initiatives and the way they've made the Club feel special through their support.

'Our belief stems from them and the good platform that every performance needs comes from their voice.

'I hope they've been enjoying the recent results and the credit we've received afterwards, and that they'll keep pushing us towards the finish line.'
