Tommo Drools Over The Latics

Tommo Drools Over The Latics

What a fantastic result, Wigan Athletic 4 Newcastle United 0, but the performance, wow, it's difficult to put into words just how good we were yesterday, Sky Sports pundit and ex-Liverpool and England defender Phil 'Tommo' Thompson had no problems though, 'tunning', 'superb', 'outstanding' are just three words that he found

Speaking on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday Tommo said: 'Wigan were stunning'

'They kept hold of the ball and Newcastle were chasing shadows. They weren't just keeping it, though, they were looking to go forward and create chances.

'It was outstanding and I thought: 'Is it Wigan I'm watching here?' It was great football and they cut Newcastle to ribbons. They were cruising after two goals from Moses in the first 15 minutes and fully justified their win.'
