Franco So Happy For The Team, The Fans & Himself

Following the Latics fantastic performance and win over Newcastle yesterday, striker Franco Di Santo says that the team always believed that they would get the results

The 23 year old Argentine scored a stunning goal just before half time to send the Latics in to the break four goals to the good, receiving a square pass just outside the Newcastle 'D' Franco curled a beauty into Newcastle keeper Tim Krul's top right hand corner, a sensational goal and a strike that puts him the clubs joint top goal scorer with Victor Moses.

Speaking after the game Di Santo said - 'We always believed we were going to do it'

'Now on the pitch we are beating big teams and that gives us a lot of confidence.

'I am happy for the team, the fans and for me to score. It was very, very important for us to be safe. Not yet but every time we win we're closer.'
