Player Ratings _ Latics 4-0 Newcastle

This weeks player ratings are provided by Basingstoke's biggest Latics fan and Vital Wigan's very own Rob

Ali Al-Habsi (8) - Made a cracking save from Cisse but apart from that, didn't have a lot to do.

Figueroa (8) - Stuck to his guns well and defended fairly well as well. His errors are slowly diminishing.

Caldwell (9) - As ever, the solid rock in defence!

Alcaraz (8) - Performed admirably but picked up a yellow card!

Boyce (8) - A solid performance from Boyce - wicked cross for the opener!

Beausejour (7) - Not his best game in a Wigan shirt but put in a good shift. His cross was lucky for Moses to score the rebound but they all count.

McCarthy (8) - A good performance - but picked up a needless yellow when there was not a need to.

MacArthur (8) - This man just chases anything that moves - another good performance.

Moses (9) - Two cracking strikes from Moses and a decent all-round game.

Maloney (9) - A very effective game from Maloney and a cracking strike from the edge of the area.

Di Santo (9) - What-A-Goal! A fourth goal that will live long in the memory. Like the rest of the side, a good all round performance.

Now we need two wins over Blackburn and Wolves to guarantee safety but I think we're there already, in all honesty.

If you'd played like this all season you'd be looking at a European place!
