best thing since sliced bread.

Good stuff go away Villa and Liverpool, get your own manager!
robin
We didn't even approach Martinez or your club robin you ******** idiot! All he has done is keep Wigan up season after season, if he doesn't leave it's gonna be the same year after year for him...Deluded to not go to Liverpool (if he actually was offered the job, Rodgers is better).
P.Avfc
a bit harsh p.avfc!!?! deluded? non of the liverpool fans wanted him and most of your fans dont want him so it would have been more deluded for him to go would it not?
b_chiller
Temper temper P.Avfc! It was common knowledge Bob was on a shortlist with Lambert and A.N.Other. Yep, he's kept us up season after season - Little Wigan, with minimal funds and one of the lowest gates in the Premier League. He's also turned us into one of the more attractive football clubs to watch, sorted our wage bill out and reorganised our youth system. The man is a Wigan legend - Liverpool's (and your) loss (2nd year running).
fourthamigo
There was no approach made AT ALL fourthamigo!!!!! I respect him for being loyal to Wigan, but not gonna have anyone saying he turned us down when there is no proof we even wanted him...the only two clear names been highlighted so far are OGS and Lambert. And b_chiller he is not going to get any other job bigger than Liverpools, thats my opinion and yes he has done great with Wigan but theres only so much he can do with a team who has barely any fans attending, not asif you can throw money at your team like Villa or Liverpool to get up the table.
P.Avfc
Oh and Pete Colley who works for Sky Sports has said on his twitter than Martinez WAS interested in the Villa job but our target is and always has been Lambert so no approach made.
P.Avfc
Not a problem with Martinez or Wigan anyone, wish you both success next year, hope you can stay up again or avoid the relegation battle all together. I no for a fact we will! We will splash the cash and get out of there, Martinez staying is all but good for Wigan though, just a bit weird how he can turn down such a big job in Liverpool.
P.Avfc
Go be confused somewhere else, will you?
Bearsuit
Weird? It's called loyalty! And yeh you are very bitter and we will once again finish above your "big" club next season
legolad
Jumping the gun a bit legolad, you've finished above us once in how many seasons? People forget where Spurs were before Redknapp and what happened to Newcastle a couple of years back, same size clubs as Villa, don't fool yourself, we will see who is laughing come next year...Won't be too difficult to finish above Wigan after all, aslong as Mcleish isn't with us, it's impossible...enjoy your 10 fans per week at the DW.
P.Avfc
Tired old arguments deflecting to fan numbers. It's about points, and we get enough of them !
thorpyness
sour grapes from an idiot brummie
legolad
If he can turn clubs like Liverpool down, then that sums him up!, no ambition!,Villa & Pool too big for him and he knows it. Enjoy your struggle again next year!
leyhill
How are Wigan bigger than Villa and Liverpool? Lambert and Rodgers done more than Martinez in one season?? We are getting a better manager in Lambert if we get him.
