The last season ended better than expected for a whopping 80% of Latics fans who took part in our last poll, they thought we were in for the dreaded drop

The question was posed - Did Last Season End As Expected? - and I must admit the result took me by surprise, though there were points in the season when even I thought we were in serious trouble, but from the outset and most definitely from February onwards I believed that we would be safe

Well for those who thought we were going down, it's nice to be proven wrong, for the record the result of the poll was:

No I thought we'd get relegated - 80%
Yes I knew we'd be safe, just - 15%
No I thought we'd do better - 5%
