Latics Ticket Sales On The Up

Season ticket sales at Wigan Athletic are flying with reports that the total has surpassed last years at this stage by a whopping 20%

The fantastic form showed by the Latics at the back end of last season has no doubt whet the appetite of supporters, the club are absolutely delighted with this rise and who can blame them

Latics chief executive Jonathan Jackson speaking to the Wigan Evening Post said - 'Sales have been very impressive and we are expecting to easily surpass last season's total.

'The incredible end to last season has created a real feel-good factor around the club and with Roberto Martinez now ready to welcome back his players for pre-season training early next month, there is a growing sense of optimism which is being reflected in season ticket sales.

'The anticipation is starting to gather towards the new season and it is really encouraging to see a higher than normal amount of season ticket sales to new supporters, which highlights that our profile as a football club is rising all the time.

'We represent fabulous value for money in what is the most watched league in the world and when you have big clubs so close to the town have we have to do everything we can to grow our supporter base.'

With prices at £225 for adults Jackson is absolutely correct in saying it is fabulous value for money down at the DW Stadium, not only are we the cheapest in the Premier League but we must be one of the cheapest in the entire top four divisions of English football.
