Hugo Rodallega Joins Fulham - Official

Wigan Athletic all time record Premier League goal scorer Hugo Rodallega has put pen to paper on a 3 year deal with Premier League rivals Fulham

The move was anticipated with Rodallega talking terms and having a medical yesterday (Wednesday) at Fulham, the 26 year old Colombia international said he was thrilled to be joining his new outfit, speaking to Fulhams official website he said: 'I'm thrilled to have signed for Fulham Football Club. I wanted to stay in England and I'm delighted that I now have this opportunity with Fulham.'

Of course Hugo was a firm fans favourite at the Latics and he always played with a smile on his face, about his time in the North West Hugo commented: 'I would like to thank the staff and fans of Wigan Athletic for three and a half wonderful seasons there.'

Fulham manager Martin Jol, added: 'I am delighted that Hugo has decided to join Fulham. There has been a lot of interest in him from other top flight teams in England and abroad, so to be able to add his quality to our squad is a massive boost this early in our preparations for the new campaign. He is a great addition and I think he will contribute very well to our style and philosophy here.'

Best wishes and good luck from all at Vital Latics Hugo

Glad to see hm go. It was a stroke of luck that he was out for so long injured because had he stayed fit there is no way Roberto would have not kept the system of one striker. It was only his injury that the system of three at the back was tried.
