Boycey Can't Wait For The New Season

Wigan Athletic defender Emmerson Boyce says he can't wait for the new season to start

Boycey might be about to turn 33 this September but his enthusiasm for the game appears to be as fresh now as it has ever been, currently away in Sweden with the rest of the Latics squad, the fans favourite is gearing up for the new campaign and actually relishing the hard graft of preseason

Speaking to the Latics official website about the Sweden trip Boycey said - 'It's going to be a tough week, but hopefully we'll have the right conditions for it and be able to return next week fresh for the next stage of our preparations.'

The next campaign will see Boycey start his seventh season as a Latics player, he already holds the record Premier League appearances for the club, he is sure to add to his already impressive total and with his enthusiasm so strong who's to bet against Mr Wigan Athletic having another great season for the club

Boycey said - 'It's the 16th or 17th pre-season of my career which is some going, and my seventh with Wigan Athletic, but I'm still enjoying it, still find it as tough as the first but more than ever I can't wait for the new season to start.'

Boycey as enthusiastic as ever
