Wigan Athletic Leading The Chase For Fraser Fyvie

Wigan Athletic are being linked, in numerous places, with a move for Aberdeen midfield player and Scotland youth international captain, Fraser Fyvie

The 19 year old has been the subject of interest from a host of clubs in England with Blackburn and Fulham leading the way for Fyvie, but Sky Sports are reporting that the Latics have stolen a march in the chase for his signature and with Fyvie refusing to sign a new contract Aberdeen may feel it's now time to cash in on their young star

Fyvie became Aberdeen's youngest ever player when he made his debut against Hamilton aged just 16, he then became the SPL's youngest ever goalscorer at 16 years and 10 months when he netted against Hearts at Tynecastle in January 2010

If the Latics sign Fyvie he would join a growing band of Scots at the DW Stadium, James' McCarthy and McArthur, Shaun Maloney and Gary Caldwell would all make him feel welcome

A player with a lot of potential, would be a very good signing

thing is he maybe a player with a lot of potential but its a striker that we need some one that can put the ball in the back of the onion bag as the site poll suggest.

Yes. We need a freaking striker like Zaki and not a goal scoring machine (irony) like Di Santos.
