Fyvie About To Sign? - Wigan Athletic

Wigan Athletic are looking likely to make their first signing of the season early next week, Aberdeen midfield player and Scotland youth international captain, Fraser Fyvie, is reportedly making his way down the M6 as we speak with a view to joining the Latics

Fyvie, with just 5 months remaining on his contract, is one of the hottest properties in Scottish football and tipped to be the next James McCarthy

The Wigan Evening Post are also reporting that Fyvie is set to increase the Scottish contingent at the DW Stadium and credit the youngster as saying: "I need to go to progress my career"

"I feel it`s the right time for me to try my luck elsewhere and see what happens.

"I may be taking a big gamble, but sometimes you have to take a risk. I feel I want to go and challenge myself."
