Wigan Athletic - Ivan Go!

Wigan Athletic appear to be very close to sealing a deal with La Liga side Mallorca for experienced central defender Ivan Ramis

The Latics have led the chase for the 27 year old, who has over 200 La Liga appearances to his name, ahead of Premier League rivals Aston Villa and Sunderland, reports in Spain are suggesting that a fee has been agreed between the Latics and Mallorca, somewhere in the region of £4.5 million, there is just the players percentage to be sorted out at the Mallorca end

A spokesman for Ramis told the press: 'Although there is plenty of interest in Ivan, we are convinced that he will end up at Wigan.'
