U-Turn Productions Charity Concert For MND

Some of you reading this will recall that my sister-in-law, Angela Charles, suffered from the terrible disease MND and sadly lost her brave fight against the condition earlier this year

Before she died, there were a couple of benefit events, one of which was a football game between Golborne Veterans and Wigan Athletic Legends in which Roberto Martinez himself turned out

The money raised went towards work on Angela's home that allowed her to be released from hospital and spend her last days in a place of familiarity and comfort surrounded by her loving family

Angela's family are eternally grateful to all those who helped in the organisation and support of the events

As well as raising money, another very important purpose of the event was to raise awareness of what is a dreadful illness, so following on I have been contacted by Philip Makin, who lost his father to MND, Philip is a performer in the local singing group 'U-Turn Productions' and they are hosting a 'Celebration of Songs from The Shows', in association with Motor Neurone Disease Association, to raise both funds and awareness

The concert will take place on Friday August 17th at ALRA (Academy of Live and Recorded Arts) Turner Street, Wigan, WN1 3SU, tickets are priced just £6
