Reports in Spain are suggesting that Wigan Athletic have made a bid for Levante UD striker Arouna Koné
The Ivory Coast international was a sensation for the La Liga side last season helping them to qualify for the Europa League with 17 goals in 34 appearances as the Valencia based club were the surprise package of the season
The 28 year old former PSV and Seville player was left out of the Levante squad that faced Villarreal at the weekend, adding to speculation that the 6 foot powerhouse was about to switch clubs
The Latics have been linked with Koné for the past few weeks and it is understood that he fancies a move to the Premier League
