Lawro Predicts - Latics v Chelsea

He's back, he's still annoying, I don't know why I do this every week but he's kind of addictive, the pundit we love to hate, Preston's very own chuckle brother, Mark 'Lawro' Lawrenson gives us his weekly round of Premier League predictions, once again he has the Latics losing, no surprise there, let's take a look at what he says:

Wigan v Chelsea

I like the look of Chelsea's summer signings like Eden Hazard, Oscar and Marko Marin but they will rely a lot on Fernando Torres because, apart from Daniel Sturridge, I cannot think of anyone else who can lead their line on his own.

So Torres needs a big season. Whether that happens or not, Chelsea will definitely finish in the top four but I don't see them pushing for the title.

Despite making a couple of shrewd buy like Real Mallorca's Ivan Ramis, who is a real steady Eddie, I cannot see Wigan kicking on from their spectacular finish to last season.

They will probably be in the bottom half for most of the next nine months but I don't see them needing to replicate that good run to get to safety this time.

Prediction: 1-2

Well he isn't tipping us to go down, which is sort of worrying! Latics v Chelsea is a 1-1 for me
