Hendry Thomas Joins Colorado Rapids

Former Wigan Athletic midfield man Hendry Thomas has signed for MLS side Colorado Rapids

The Honduras international was released by the Latics when his contract expired at the end of June, the 27 year old, nicknamed 'the doctor' for the clinical way he took the ball off opponents, spent three seasons at the DW Stadium making 55 appearances, a hard as nails defensive midfield player Thomas put in some scary challenges during his time in the Latics blue

Speaking about his time at the Latics Thomas told Colorado Rapids official website: "Looking back, I think all three years I was there were very good years"

"It was my first time out of my country, with a new contract, and really it was good. Now I'm here to take on this role and to double my effort and try to surpass what I did in the Premier League."

Surprised he's chosen America but good luck to him! I'll look forward to highlights of him dispossessing Beckham with a typically robust challenge
