What The Boss Says - Forest v Latics

In the build up to Tuesday nights Capital One Cup 2nd round game between Nottingham Forest and Wigan Athletic, Latics boss Roberto Martinez has given a big hint that he will play some of the squad's fringe players at the City Ground

Speaking to the Latics official website Martinez say's 'it's an opportunity for some other players to show what they can do', no doubt we'll see Fraser Fyvie, Ben Watson, Mauro Boselli and possibly Dave Jones getting run outs

With Callum McManaman, Ronnie Stam and Mike Pollitt also chomping at the bit there could be quite a few changes, the game should also give Latics wing back Jean Beausejour an opportunity to gain some match fitness after recently being sidelined with a hamstring strain

Latics boss Roberto Martinez say's - 'It's a great opportunity to share the demands'

'You've got a few players that have been working really well in pre-season and they`ve have no reward yet and I think it's important that everyone is ready.

'It's an opportunity for some other players to show what they can do and show that they can have massive say this season.'
