Lawro Predicts - Man U v Latics

Mark 'Lawro' Lawrenson has done his weekly round of predictions for the BBC and without putting too fine a point on it, the Preston Plonker is once again proving that he is robbing a living posing as a pundit, his in depth analysis of the Latics is a joy to read, he again calls us inconsistent, that is one trait that cant be levelled at him

Let's take a look at this week's ramblings:

Man Utd v Wigan

Regardless of who is fit for them, you have to see this as a banker win for Manchester United.

The international break means the place has probably emptied - it must have done because manager Sir Alex Ferguson was in New York watching Andy Murray in the tennis - but they just have so many good players.

Striker Robin van Persie is just a top player. It was a no-brainer taking him and it's put everyone at the club on their toes, including Wayne Rooney. In the nicest possible way, that's probably something he needs. If they get him fit and raring to play, what a partnership that would be.

Wigan don't travel very well. They rode their luck at Southampton and got a very good victory in the end. Wigan beat Manchester United at the DW Stadium at the end of last season but they are inconsistent.

Prediction: 3-0

Not a chance Mr Lawrenson, the Latics don't travel well!? Our away form this season, as last is better than our home form, we are currently just two points behind United with a 100% record on our travels and still concede a goal, hmm, I'll go for a 1-1

Nice one Lawro

Inconsistent? Win 7 out of 9 in the run in, lose to European Champions, beat newly promoted side and draw with fellow established premier league team. Can you get more consistent and predictable than that?
Marksparko
cant blame him for thinking we will loose this one tbh
legolad
Sorry legolad, thinking is something he does not do.
