Mauro Boselli Man Of The Match v West Ham

Latics striker Mauro Boselli has been voted the Vital Latics man of the match for his goalscoring performance in the Capital One cup win at West Ham on Tuesday

The Argentina international took his two goals very well, nipping in front of his marker to get a side foot on the end of Figueroa's cross for his first, a coolly taken goal poachers goal, his second was a delightful chip after he beat the off-side trap, scooping the ball over the onrushing West Ham keeper from 16 yards out, described in some quarters as Messiesque

His all round play was also very good and he has certainly given Latics boss Roberto Martinez food for thought regarding team selection for this weekends trip to Sunderland

For the record the voting was:

Mauro Boselli - 64%
Ryo Miyaichi - 16%
James McArthur - 8%
