Robin's Prediction: Wigan V Everton

Wigan are not in the best form at the moment, having lost three games on the spin, though one of those games was at Old Trafford and due to his post-match comments about the game, Roberto Martinez has been charged £10,000 by the football association.

That said about our form, I do feel we've been unlucky in the two games which followed - Wigan created a good deal of chances in both games and when the luck isn't with you, it basically isn't. Jordi Gomez's sending off last weekend was a shocker which ultimately lost the game and has since been rescinded and we created good chances against Fulham but the games weren't just going to go our way, so hopefully this weekend will.

However, Roberto has predicted a tough encounter between the sides and he isn't far wrong - Everton have started the season on fire so the home defence needs to be at its very best indeed. Wigan welcome back Leighton Baines to the DW who signed for Everton some years back but will always be a memorable figure from his time at Wigan.

In their last two encounters, Wigan have drawn 1-1 with Everton and also, the home side drew 0-0 at Goodison in 2010. Their only blip is a 3-1 loss at Goodison in which Franco Di Santo netted the opener. The game seemed destined for a draw until the late drama on that day which was rather harsh considering our efforts, that day.

Hopefully, Antolin Alcaraz and Franco Di Santo are back for the game on Saturday and Ryo will get a start on the wing - the thing is he can perform ably at this level, as he proved at Bolton. The position is in much need of a good performer and Boyce isn't really suited to that role on the right.

Rob's Prediction

This will be a tough game for Wigan but I just have a feeling that Wigan will bring an end to Everton's recent form and with the recent form between the two sides, a draw could be likely.1-1.

Rob's Other Predictions

Man City V Sunderland Man City will win this comfortably. Sunderland might give it a go but they'll soon be in for a tough ride.3-0

Chelsea V Norwich Not Norwich's idea of a pick me up. They lost 5-2 last time out in a pulsating game but Chelsea will have too much for the canaries.3-1

Swansea V Reading Swansea's form has not been great and Reading's result against Newcastle will have given them encouragement. I think Reading will get the result they need here.1-2

West Brom V QPR West Brom have started the season well but QPR are in desperate need of a boost. I think this will be a narrow home win for West Brom.2-1

West Ham V Arsenal An easy away win for the Gunners beckons. West Ham is a potentially tricky fixture in a way but it'll not deter Arsenal.1-3

Southampton V Fulham I think this will be a draw. The saints need points and Fulham have done well so far. Won't be an easy game for the Saints.1-1

Liverpool V Stoke Liverpool have not had the greatest of starts under Rodgers and now, they need a boost after losing in mid-week. However, Stoke are no walkovers and I see this as a draw.1-1

Tottenham V Aston Villa A tough game for Paul Lambert but with AVB finally proving his worth in England, I see them coming out of this game with a narrow loss.2-0

Newcastle V Man Utd I think this will be an away win for Manchester United but it won't be easy.0-2

See you all in a fortnight for Rob's Prediction.
