'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Early Team News And Injury Update Latics v Everton

Latics face Everton at the DW Stadium tomorrow (Saturday) with just one major doubt, Antolin Alcaraz, on the injury front

Jordi Gomez had his red card that he received at Sunderland last Saturday rescinded by the FA, thus making him eligible for selection. Franco Di Santo appears to have shaken off the calf strain that has seen him struggle in recent weeks and the Argentine could be in line for a recall to the starting line-up

Central defender Antolin Alcaraz though is still struggling with a groin strain and he's rated as very doubtful

Latics boss Roberto Martinez spoke about the injury situation, let's see what he had to say:

'Franco has recovered well from his injury

'He came off the bench at Sunderland and has since been working hard with the group to fully regain match fitness, so I expect him to be available.

'Antolin's situation is a bit different. He's been recovering well but it's too early at this stage to tell whether he'll be available or not for Saturday.'

Latics from: Al Habsi, Boyce, Miyaichi, Caldwell, Figueroa, Ramis, Beausejour, McCarthy, McArthur, McManaman, Maloney, Di Santo, Gomez, Kone, Pollitt, Watson, Jones, Crusat, Boselli and Stam

For Everton Tony Hibbert (calf) and Darron Gibson (thigh) are both set to miss out, Steven Naismith will face a fitness test

According to our good friends over at Vital Everton, possible line-up: Howard, Baines, Heitinga, Jagielka, Coleman, Neville, Osman, Pienaar, Mirallas, Fellaini, Jelavic
