Lawro Predicts - Swansea v Latics

BBC pundit Mark 'Lawro' Lawrenson has done his weekly round of predictions ahead of the forthcoming Premier League games. Latics travel to South Wales to face Swansea and shock, horror, he hasn't got us down for a defeat! Let's see why he thinks we will get a share of the spoils this weekend:

Swansea v Wigan

This game takes Swansea's former manager Roberto Martinez back to the Liberty Stadium, and that should mean an open game with both sides playing good football.

Swansea made such an impressive start under Michael Laudrup before stuttering a little bit, but they should have beaten Reading last time out - they certainly had enough chances to win that game.

I think Wigan will have a real go at the Welsh side here, though, and the Latics look far more of a threat going forward when Franco Di Santo and Arouna Kone play together up front.

I used to look at Di Santo and think he had one good game every three or four outings but he seems to have upped that percentage. He looks fitter, stronger and better all-round for the experience he has gained in the last couple of years.

As for Kone, well he only knows one way to play and that is route one to goal. He looks a good buy and I like him - defenders might know what he is doing but it is difficult to stop him doing it.

He might turn out to be another player like Antonio Valencia or Wilson Palacios who is bought in relatively cheap and sold on for good money - that is the Wigan way.

Prediction: 1-1

Well I agree for once with his forecast, I also see the game ending 1-1
