Meet The Ref - Norwich v Latics - Lee Probert

Latics travel to Norwich on Saturday looking to end a three game winless run, the Canaries are a robust side, all action and it promises to be a good game.

The last time we were away though the big talking point was the performance of the referee, so who have we got in charge at Carrow Road? Lee Probert that's who

The 39 year old official has taken charge of just one Latics game this season, the 2-1 home defeat by Fulham back in September, he was in charge of just two Latics games last season, both were away and yep you guessed we lost those as well, both ended in 3-1 defeat's, away at Wolves back in early November, during that game there was the infamous Alcaraz spit, which Probert missed, but the cameras didn't, the Latics defender ended up with a retrospective three match ban. The other game was at White Hart Lane at the end of January, a game that we lost but we didn't half kick-on from

This will be the Gloucester based officials second visit to Carrow Road this season, he was in charge of the Norwich v Arsenal game in October which was won by Chris Houghton's men 1-0

Probert first got interested in refereeing at the tender age of 16, he sat the exam and the rest, as they say, is history. He has now been a Premier League referee since 2007
